To “shun whatsoever may be the cause of remoteness from God”
Whatsoever driveth thee away from the one true God and
shutteth thee out from the Best Beloved is blameworthy and reprehensible, whilst
everything that draweth thee nigh unto Him is acceptable and praiseworthy. One
must consider matters with the eye of discernment, shun whatsoever may be the
cause of remoteness from God, and awaken to all that is the source of nearness
and illumination.
