However, as you no doubt know, Bahá'u'lláh has stated that
the purpose of marriage is to promote unity, so you should bear this in mind
when dealing with your non-Bahá'í relatives; they cannot be expected to feel
the way we do on questions of racial amity, and we must not force our views on
them, but rather lovingly and wisely seek to educate them.
